S.T.E.A.M. for Teens at Orange Public Library

Mike took WALL-E to the Orange Public Library for a presentation on droid engineering as part of the S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) for Teens speaker series. Victor Franco spoke about R2-D2 and Mike spoke about WALL-E. During the presentation, Mike disassembled WALL-E to show how all the parts work inside. The audience was composed of people of all ages. They were highly interested and asked thoughtful questions. We hope we inspired people to pursue their own creative building projects.

Comikaze LA

WALL-E appeared at Comikaze at the LA Convention Center, where Mike enjoyed meeting James Hong, star of the films Big Trouble in Little China, Bladerunner, and was the voice of Po's father in Kung Fu Panda. He even signed his autograph on our son's neck! Good times.

Boy Scout Robotics

WALL-E visited a Boy Scout troop for a presentation on robotics. We partially disassembled WALL-E, passed around parts and molds and explained how many of WALL-E's parts were made. The boys listened with great interest and asked a lot of thoughtful questions. It is always great to see the enthusiasm of young people toward technology, and we hope to inspire them to pursue their own challenges building creative projects.
